Oliver Rose Designs is a small handmade business run by Sarah Slaughter that is based in England, United Kingdom (UK).

Where we ship to: 

United Kingdom, excluding: The British Forces & Northern Ireland*

United States, 50 Main States + Washington DC, excluding: US territories & overseas military addresses, APO/FPO/DPO. 

Australia, excluding: Northern Territory.

By using our site and placing an order you agree to all the terms of this policy and all our other policies collectively.

All prices shown are in GBP (£) pounds.

All items are printed in house and made to order.

Our business hours are 8am-4pm Monday to Friday and 9am-2pm Saturdays (GMT). We are closed on a Sunday and UK Bank Holidays. Any additional closing days will be shown on the announcement bar at the top of our homepage.

1. COMBINING SHIPPING


We are unable to combine shipping on orders placed separately unless the original order has not yet been processed, this will be at our discretion. If you place an order, then wish to order an additional item you will need to place a separate new order. Each order will be dispatched separately based on its order in the queue. However, if you realise that you've made an error regarding the personalisation of your card you have up until your card is printed to request any changes.

2. ORDER PROCESSING & DISPATCH


Once you have fully checked out, your order will be placed in our processing queue.

Orders placed Mon-Fri (excluding bank holidays) will be printed and posted the same day in most instances. The only exception to this may be for orders placed on a Tuesday as we do not always have a post collection on that day. All other orders will be printed and posted within 1-2 business days maximum.

During particularly busy periods, we reserve the right to increase dispatch times passed this if necessary. Any temporary changes that are made to our dispatch times will be displayed on the information banner located at the top of every page on our website.

3. UK DOMESTIC DELIVERY

We are unable to ship to Northern Ireland and the British Forces.

Our chosen Postal Carrier is Royal Mail.

Standard Delivery is 2nd class, sent via Royal Mail. This is not a trackable service nor is it guaranteed by a certain date. 2nd class post is a non-priority & budget friendly option for when you are not in a rush for your order. We strongly recommended upgrading the shipping option at checkout to either 1st class or Tracked if you are in a rush for your order.

Please remember, estimated delivery times with Royal Mail do not take effect until the day after we have marked your order as dispatched.

Royal Mail state that they will aim for delivery as follows:

UK NON-PRIORITY: Royal Mail 2nd Class (No Tracking) Estimated 3-5 Business Days after dispatch.

UK CUSTOMERS: SPEND £10 OR MORE ON ONE ORDER & GET FREE 2ND CLASS SHIPPING

UK STANDARD: Royal Mail 1st Class (No Tracking) Estimated 1-3 Business Days after dispatch.

UK STANDARD TRACKED: Royal Mail Tracked 24 (Tracking included, No Signature) Estimated 1-3 Business Days after dispatch. Royal Mail Tracked 48 (Tracking included, No Signature) Estimated 2-4 Business Days after dispatch.

Royal Mail do NOT include weekends and UK bank holidays as a business day but some services may deliver on a saturday in some areas.

Please note: The Royal Mail services we use are NOT guaranteed, they are estimated, therefore on occasions, items can either go missing or be delayed. According to their official guidance, Royal Mail do not class an item as missing/lost until 10 business days has passed from the date the item was due to be delivered. 4. UNITED STATES (US) & AUSTRALIA (AU) INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

From 2025 we are delighted to offer shipping to our customers in the United States and Australia.

Shipping Locations

US = We ship to the 50 US states plus Washington DC. Unfortunately, we’re unable to deliver to US territories or overseas military addresses (APO/FPO/DPO) at this time.

AU = We do not ship to the Northern Territory.

Currency & Payment Information

All prices, including delivery charges, are listed in GBP (£). If you’re ordering from outside the UK (e.g. the US/AU), your payment will still be processed in GBP.

Please note: Your bank or payment provider will handle the currency conversion at their current exchange rate at the time of purchase.

The amount shown at checkout is what you’ll pay us in GBP, but the amount debited from your account will differ depending on your provider’s exchange rate and any additional fees they may apply in your local currency. 

We recommend checking your provider’s latest rates before completing your order so there are no surprises.

Delivery Estimates

Estimated delivery to the US/AU is typically between 7–21 business days. Please be aware that customs processing or local public holidays may occasionally cause delays beyond our control.

An order is not classed as lost until 28 days after dispatch, and a claim cannot be made before this time.

We offer a choice of International Standard (no tracking) or International Tracked. With an estimated delivery window of 7-21 business days.

Shipping Carrier & Tracking

We use Royal Mail for all US/AU International orders. Once the parcel leaves the UK, a local US/AU carrier (which may vary) will complete the delivery.

If you upgrade to Tracked shipping, you’ll receive a tracking number in your dispatch confirmation email and can monitor your order’s journey.

If you choose Standard (untracked) delivery, no tracking information will be available.

5. Important Information for US/AU Customers – GST, Customs Duties, Taxes & Handling Fees

UNITED STATES: From 29th August 2025, the United States Government is removed the $800 De Minimis threshold for imported goods. This means that all orders, regardless of value, may now be subject to import duties, taxes, and handling fees.

These charges are set by US Customs and collected by our UK delivery carrier. To keep things simple for you, we have added these additional costs to our shipping prices and all orders are now shipped via PDDP (Delivered Duty Paid) via Royal Mail.

Note: Royal Mail only currently offer PDDP on their Tracked services therefore for now, we have removed the cheaper standard untracked option from our delivery choices.

It is your responsibility as the buyer to check the most up-to-date US import regulations and to be prepared to pay any applicable charges upon delivery should things change. Please consider this before placing your order.

AUSTRALIA: Orders shipped to AU may be subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST), customs duties, and/or handling fees. These charges (if applicable) are set by Australian Customs and collected by your local delivery carrier before delivery.

We do not collect these fees at checkout. It is your responsibility as the buyer to pay any applicable charges directly to your local carrier before your order can be delivered.

Please check the latest Australian import regulations before placing your order and consider that these additional fees may apply.

6. ADDRESS ACCURACY

It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the shipping address provided at checkout is accurate and complete. We cannot accept responsibility for any parcels that are delayed, lost, or returned due to incorrect or incomplete address details provided by you. In such cases, replacements or refunds will NOT be issued free or charge. 

If a parcel is returned to us by the carrier due to an address issue, you will be responsible for covering the cost of re-delivery. We will invoice you for this amount, which will match the original shipping cost you paid at checkout.

7. PACKAGING

How we package your card(s) will depend on which option you choose from each individual listing (either: Post to Myself - with a spare envelope OR Post Direct to Recipient - seal the card).

8. POST TO MYSELF (WITH A SPARE ENVELOPE)

Each card alongside its accompanied envelope will be placed in its own paper bag so will arrive with you ready for you to write in and seal the card yourself. It is then enclosed within a brown, board backed envelope (to protect against potential bending during transit). If you order 3 or more cards in one transaction, they may be posted to you in a box that conveniently fits through any standard sized letter box. If we are posting to you, a message can still be printed inside if you wish.

9. POST DIRECT TO RECIPIENT (SEAL THE CARD) 

Each card will be sealed inside its own individual plain envelope ready to be opened by the recipient, this option requires your message for the inside. The shipping address you supply when choosing this option should be the address of the recipient and not your own address. We do not use a brown board backed envelope with this sending option. When choosing this option, we still use a 6x4 postage label with our return address on.

Note: You can only have one shipping address per order therefore if sending more than one card direct to the recipient you will need to place a new order for each card.

10. SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS*

Northern Ireland - Effective from 1st December 2024, we regret to inform you that we are unable to ship our products to addresses in Northern Ireland (NI). We have updated our shipping settings to prevent purchases using a NI based delivery address. 

International (US/AU) – Due to excessive shipping delays during the busy Christmas period, we do not allow International orders through our website during November and December.
